The Paradigm MiNDER Management Suite is a framework for building custom Manager of Managers (MoM), Fault Management Systems (FMS), Network Management Systems (NMS) and Element Management Systems (EMS). MiNDER collects, processes, logs, and distributes real-time data from the various connected devices and management systems.
 |
Manager of Managers
Operate, administer, maintain and provision the network circuits and elements using ‘probes’ to interrogate and interact with the lower level Management Systems (e.g. FMS, NMS, EMS). |
| |
|
 |
Fault Management System
Detect, isolate and correct faults in the network by using ‘probes’ to collect alarm, fault and configuration information from the lower Management Systems (e.g. NMS, EMS). |
| |
|
 |
Network Management System
Monitor, manage and control the network and network elements by interrogating and interacting with the lower level Element management Systems (EMS). |
| |
|
 |
Element Management System
Directly manage network elements such as satellite modems, transceivers, solid state power amplifiers, antennas and associated equipment. |

Out Of Band Management
MiNDER also supports the management of remote sites using an ‘Out Of Band’ data channel via satellite, GSM or the internet. This ‘OOB’ channel can be automatically invoked if an ‘In Band’ management channel fails. |
By providing customised state of the art graphical displays, the MiNDER Management Suite provides the user with an intuitive and powerful interface that allows monitoring, management and control (MMC) of the network and its elements.
Open Standards, Connectivity and Redundancy
MiNDER is based on open, industry standard Microsoft technologies, including COM/DCOM, .NET, ActiveX and ODBC. For this reason, and because the MiNDER suite can be deployed on Windows 2000, XP, Server 2003 and Vista, it is a versatile and safe investment for now and the future. Both Northbound and Southbound interfaces can be provided for integration with other systems.
MiNDER also supports redundancy, e.g. geographically separated servers, for additional security and disaster recovery.
