VSAT Transmit/Receive Antennas

Paradigm offer a range of VSAT Transmit/Receive Antennas for operation at C Band, Ku Band, X Band, Ka Band and DBS Band. Available sizes range from 74cm right up to 3.8 metres (please see our Earth Station Antennas page for information on our larger Antennas). These rugged commercial grade products are suitable for the most demanding applications. The reflectors are compression-moulded for strength and surface accuracy and built into the rear of each reflector is a network of support ribs which not only strengthens the antenna, but also helps to sustain the critical parabolic shape necessary for transmit performance.

Many of our Antenna Systems are designed and built to meet the specification standards illustrated by Intelsat and Eutelsat for use with their satellite systems. The 1.8 metre (Type 183) and 2.4 metre (Type 243) Prime Focus Antennas from Skyware Global are universally popular for VSAT applications, whilst the 2.4 metre Dual-Optic Antenna (Type 244) is designed to accommodate more stringent sidelobe restrictions sometimes demanded by Eutelsat and other operators.

The Azimuth over Elevation (Az/El) Mounts supplied with these Antennas are constructed from heavy gauge steel to provide a rigid support to the reflector and feed support arm. Hot-dip galvanizing is standard for maximum environmental protection.

A range of Non-Penetrating Roof Mounts (NPRM) have been designed for use with these VSAT Antennas. These are suitable for patio, courtyard and flat roof installations where Antenna space is at a premium, or where foundations, restraint wires or cables are impractical. Depending on the size of Antenna to be supported, up to four trays are used to hold the requisite ballast evenly across the roof structure or ground. Rubber mats can also be supplied to protect the roof from any movement of the Antenna mount. A correctly ballasted installation can survive wind speeds of up to 200 km/hr (125 mph).
